Date Weekend

Tim and I had a good time on our date weekend, except for my emotional crying fit on Saturday morning.

We went out to dinner with new friends (dinner for 8 group from church). We went to O'Charley's with a gift certificate. The kids were at their grandparents so we got by with a FREE evening out. We rented a video - but now that it is a week later, I don't remember what we watched.

Tim got up and went to his accountablity group on Saturday morning. I got to sleep in! Woo Hoo! When he got home he started cleaning the kitchen, which upset me so I started cleaning our room, the bathroom, the living room - now, all these rooms did need to be cleaned BUT I was not wanting to clean on my "weekend off". He was trying to be nice but I wasn't taking it that way. On a normal day - I love the fact that he is trying to help around the house. I had been sick all week so the house was pretty yucky and I just happened to take it personally and blow it out of proportion (I bet I'm not the only female who has let emotion get the best of her).

Anyway, after I finally calmed down and the kitchen, our bedroom/bath, family room were clean we headed downtown.

We had a room at the Stone Soup Inn. http://www.stonesoupinn.com/ We loved it! Our room reminded us of one of the castle rooms we stayed when we were in Europe. We went to the movies (another gift certificate) and saw "Untraceable." We liked it. I was expecting a little more to the ending but for the most part, it was good. We then ate at a downtown restuarant.

We got out for 2 nights, movies, dinner twice, and a B&B for under $150. Not too bad for a weekend!

We then watched the History/Travel channel at the B&B. There was a special about Alaska that was really interesting. (I watch everything I can about AK because I am trying to convince Tim to take me there). I told Tim that we must be getting old if we are choosing to watch a documentary on TV on our date weekend. We also watched several of those home makeover shows. We don't get that channel either.

It was a great weekend except for that hour or two that I was extremely ..... girly. I don't get that way often so Tim forgave me quite easily. He is such a good man!

Anyway, if anyone is interested in this B&B, I would recommend it. The people that own it actually own 3 in the area. One is expensive and has a spa but the other 2 are very reasonable. This was our first stateside experience with a B&B and loved it! We talked for a few hours with some of the other guests at breakfast - fun, fun!

I'm ready to go again!
